Children in Need

Each year, the BBC joins together all of it's forces to create the largest event of the BBC's year - BBC Children in Need.
Run since 1927, as a five minute radio programme on Christmas Day, raising £1,143, it has grown to the massive event it is today, covering radio, television, the Internet, newspapers and magazines, raising in excess of £30,000,000 every year. Each year, The Alphabet Train participates in the event, in our own small, but important way.

Children make teddy shaped honey or jam sandwiches during the morning, and then have a picnic with their own teddies at snack time, followed by a few party games.
We also make special "Pudsey Bear" biscuits to sell to parents, so remember to bring your pennies!
Both children and bears always have a wonderful time!
