Both my children have attended The Alphabet Train since they were 2 years 2 months old. The warm, friendly but firm approach has given them a very enjoyable, rewarding, and informative experience, whilst maintaining boundaries, and teaching them respect for their peers, teachers, and belongings. These boundaries have given them a strict framework to learn within, which has boosted their confidence enormously, both socially and academically. My daughter has thoroughly enjoyed her time at The Alphabet Train, and I have been extremely happy to put all 4 of my children into it. I have already signed up my 5th child! From the moment the children start there, to the moment they leave, they are in the very best of hands, to nurture, care, guide, and educate them in their pre-school years. Amy and her team are just fantastic, and they are the best Nursery in Tunbridge Wells! My son has really grown up since joining The Alphabet Train. He really enjoys coming to “school”, and can now write his name and count to 100, when he wants to! You have really helped prepare him for “big school”, and I will see you again when his little brother is a bit older! My daughter has absolutely loved the structure of The Alphabet Train, and will really miss it! She has loved all the craft, cookery, “work”, playing in the park, packed lunch days, and learning about minibeasts! She’s full of interesting facts when she’s playing in the garden! Our son always wants to come to Nursery – even on his day off! He has really enjoyed the various termly themes, and has come home telling us lots of interesting information. Sports Days have been particularly well organised, and great fun! Our son has been really happy at The Alphabet Train, has made some good friends, and will be sad to leave. Even when she was a little unsure about coming, I knew she was in safe hands. I really think The Alphabet Train has had an amazing influence on her, and has helped her to become such a happy and confident young lady! I think all the themed “making” is great. The children are taught to be polite and well behaved, and you give them confidence to be themselves.
We think The Alphabet Train has been the perfect foundation for future learning, and has certainly boosted our son’s confidence. We have been very impressed to see how well organised everything is, especially the Christmas Play and Sports Day. The children hang on your every word! We have been really pleased with our daughter’s progress at The Alphabet Train. It’s a really good learning environment for pre-school children, with a good ratio of academic work and play. It’s been brilliant for my son’s pre-school time. He has really enjoyed it, and has made lots of friends. The crafts and other activities are great, and he has been very proud of every day’s creations. The minibeast theme has definitely captured his imagination. Longer session times are not possible, as we have an afternoon playgroup twice a week, and there just wouldn’t be time. Children can stay on Wednesdays, when they enjoy a packed lunch together though. Starting this September, each child will have their own Stepping Stones book, in which we will be recording their achievements across all the aspects of learning within the new Foundation Stage. Parents can access this book, and make written comments if they wish, at any time. There are also Show & Tell weeks during the year, when parents can come and see their child’s tray. The idea of a list of contact details for parents to access is a good one, which we will put into practice once parents have agreed to being on it.
